You might not have a background in finance.

What does a Financial Adviser do?

You’ll build trusted relationships with clients, understand what they want their money to achieve and help turn those ambitions into a clear, practical financial plan for their future. Helping clients connect their money to the life they want to live can be a highly rewarding career for the right person.

Our Adviser Academy offers you the opportunity to develop into a competent Adviser, join an established practice or build your own advice business.

We’re particularly interested in people who have resilience, integrity, drive, empathy and bring strong transferable skills from careers such as:

• Sales & business development

• Banking & financial services

• Account/client management

• Recruitment

• Consulting

• Professional services

• Entrepreneurship

• Leadership & relationship-driven roles

Ideally, you will also have:

• A minimum of 5 years' professional experience.
• Level 4 qualified (DipFA, IAD, CISI or equivalent) or committed to working towards Level 4 Diploma Status.

How we will support you:

You’ll receive structured training and development as you work towards becoming a qualified Financial Adviser. Successful applicants will be assessed for entry into St. James’s Place’s Adviser development pathway. How we support you:

• A fully funded professional development programme, providing training and support required to achieve your Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning.
• If you hold a Level 4 Diploma, we will support you in achieving CAS, if not yet attained.
• Practical exposure to real client work and long-term progression.
• Support from the UK’s leading wealth management organisation.
• Employed and Self-Employed opportunities.
