Liverpool | £40,000 - £45,000 Basic + Bonus | State-of-the-Art Dealership Facility

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Controller to join one of the largest and most advanced automotive dealerships in the North West.

This is a key leadership role within a busy, high-performing aftersales operation, overseeing a team of 25+ technicians in a modern, state-of-the-art workshop environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving productivity, efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction across the workshop.

The Role

As Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of workshop operations, ensuring work is allocated effectively, productivity targets are achieved, and manufacturer standards are consistently met.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing and controlling workflow across a large team of technicians.
Allocating work to maximise workshop efficiency and technician productivity.
Monitoring job progress and ensuring deadlines are met.
Working closely with the Service Manager and Service Advisors to ensure a seamless customer journey.
Ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards.
Driving labour sales, utilisation and workshop performance.
Supporting technician development and maintaining a positive, professional culture.
Managing workshop loading and capacity planning within a high-volume environment.
The Candidate

To be considered, you must have:

Proven experience as a Workshop Controller within a franchised dealership environment.
Experience managing large teams of technicians, ideally 20+.
Strong organisational and leadership skills.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume operation.
A strong understanding of workshop efficiency, productivity and KPIs.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate teams.
A proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving.
