Technical Project Manager - Finance & Actuarial Transformation

The Opportunity

RedRock Consulting are working with a leading financial services organisation undergoing a large-scale Finance & Actuarial Transformation programme and are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to support critical migration and integration workstreams.

This is a hands-on delivery role requiring an individual who can lead complex technical change across multiple business and technology teams. The successful candidate will take ownership of integration, migration, testing, cutover and implementation activities whilst working closely with Finance, Technology and Actuarial stakeholders.

This opportunity would suit a Technical PM who enjoys operating in complex enterprise environments and has a track record of delivering large-scale systems change, platform migrations and business-critical transformation programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of technology workstreams within a wider Finance & Actuarial Transformation programme.
• Manage complex systems integration activities across multiple platforms and business areas.
• Oversee large-scale data migration initiatives and associated dependencies.
• Develop and execute cutover and implementation plans.
• Coordinate testing activities including SIT, UAT and release readiness.
• Manage third-party suppliers, implementation partners and internal delivery teams.
• Drive project governance, RAID management and stakeholder reporting.
• Ensure projects are delivered to agreed timelines, scope and quality standards.
• Work closely with Finance, Actuarial, Architecture and Technology teams to ensure successful implementation and business adoption.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering complex technology transformation programmes.
• Strong background leading systems integration and data migration initiatives.
• Experience overseeing cutover planning, deployment and go-live activities.
• Demonstrable experience delivering enterprise-wide transformation within regulated environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across business and technology teams.
• Experience managing third-party vendors and implementation partners.

Highly Desirable Experience

• Insurance or Financial Services sector experience.
• Finance Transformation programmes.
• Finance systems migration or consolidation projects.
• Actuarial transformation or actuarial systems exposure.
• Enterprise reporting, MI or data platform transformation.
• Experience working within large-scale business and technology change environments.

Technology & Platform Experience

Experience with one or more of the following would be advantageous:

• SAP
• Oracle ERP / Oracle Fusion
• Workday Financials
• Enterprise Finance Platforms
• Data Warehousing & Reporting Solutions
• Integration Platforms & APIs
• Cloud-based Data & Reporting Platforms
