Adaptable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing organisation based in Liverpool who is looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their team.

£30000 per annum
37.5 hours a week
Hybrid working in place
25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Raising sales invoices and processing income transactions.
• Monitoring and allocating cash received, investigating any unidentified receipts.
• Processing supplier invoices, credit notes and employee expenses.
• Supporting the preparation and processing of supplier payment runs.
• Responding to queries from suppliers, customers and colleagues across the organisation.
• Maintaining accurate debtor and creditor records.
• Preparing bank reconciliations and investigating outstanding items.
• Supporting cashflow monitoring through timely processing of transactions.
• Assisting with month-end activities and reconciliations.
• Producing routine financial reports and supporting management information.
• Maintaining organised and auditable financial records.
• Supporting audit requests and providing documentation where required.
• Contributing to improvements in finance systems and ways of working.
• Participating in testing and implementation of new processes and technologies.

Skills and experience desired

• AAT qualification, studying towards AAT, or equivalent finance-related training.
• Experience of sales ledger and income management.
• Experience of purchase ledger and supplier payment processing.
• Experience undertaking bank reconciliations.
• Experience supporting month-end processes.
• Experience working within a charity, housing or not-for-profit organisation.
• Experience supporting process improvements, system changes or finance transformation activities.
• Experience using Sage 50 Professional or similar accounting software.
• Experience using reporting tools such as Power BI.
