Start or grow your technical career with KOREC, helping customers get the best from geospatial technology.
This is a junior technical support and customer service role within KOREC's Liverpool-based support team. You will assist customers by phone and email when they need help using geospatial technologies, something is not working, information is missing or access support is required.
The role can suit a recent graduate, college leaver or early-career professional with education or practical experience in GIS, geomatics, surveying, site engineering, geography or a related technical field.
What you'll do
• Respond to incoming customer enquiries and work toward a clear, timely resolution.
• Diagnose hardware and software issues and complete appropriate troubleshooting tests.
• Keep clear and complete records of customer-support dialogue in HappyFox.
• Check and update customer contact information in Pipedrive CRM.
• Collaborate with colleagues in other departments when customer issues require wider input.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate internal team, manufacturer or supplier with useful supporting information.
• Keep your technical knowledge current through self-study and training courses.
• Source technical reference materials that are useful to customers and colleagues.
• Research and create customer user guides, videos, training documents and other content for the KOREC Knowledge Base.
• Assist with the writing and compilation of training materials and data.
• Complete other reasonable duties as required.
• Follow Health and Safety regulations to safeguard our people, customers and business.
What we're looking for
• Education or practical experience connected to GIS, geomatics, surveying, topographic survey, site engineering, photogrammetry, LiDAR, geography, geographical sciences or a related field.
• A logical, structured approach to troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical information to customers.
• A patient, curious and service-focused approach.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Confidence learning new hardware, software and technical workflows.
• Willingness and ability to work primarily from KOREC's Liverpool office.
Direct experience with Trimble or KOREC products is helpful but not essential. A strong local IT or technical-support candidate may also be considered where they demonstrate the communication skills, learning ability and customer focus needed for the role.
What you'll get
• Structured learning through self-study, supplier resources, internal collaboration and formal training.
• Exposure to a broad range of customer technologies and real-world geospatial applications.
• A collaborative support environment with experienced colleagues available to share knowledge.
• Potential long-term progression within KOREC's technical environment as your knowledge and capability develop.
