Network Engineer – Data Centre Migration

Contract: 3–6 Months | Remote | 2 Days per Month On-Site (North West)

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Data Centre Network Engineer to join an urgent project that needs turning around.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex network issues and resolve existing project challenges.
• Design, build and configure network infrastructure for a new data centre.
• Support and deliver a Prem-to-Prem data centre migration.
• Build out and configure network environments using Cisco Nexus technologies.
• Work hands-on with VXLAN, BGP EVPN
• Identify and resolve technical blockers to get the project back on track.
• Provide practical engineering expertise throughout the migration and build process.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Data Centre Network Engineer.
• Strong, hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus.
• In-depth knowledge of VXLAN, BGP EVPN
• Demonstrable experience delivering data centre network build-outs and migrations.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work through complex technical challenges.
• Experience stepping into challenging projects and delivering results quickly.

Contract Details

• Duration: Initial 3–6 month contract
• Location: Predominantly remote
• On-site requirement: 2 days per month in the North West
• Start: Immediate / ASAP

This is an urgent requirement for a highly experienced engineer who can get hands-on from day one and help bring a data centre migration project back on track.
