Data Solutions Apprentice - #2173610

Our client was established in 2010 and is an award-winning IT services provider. 

They are seeking a Data Solutions Apprentice to join their growing IT solutions business, with a role focused on 80% data activities and 20% software development and integration.

You will learn alongside the technical team to help customers collect, organise, check and interpret data from their business systems. Your main focus will be improving data quality, supporting reporting and turning customer requirements into useful data insights. You will also develop supporting software skills, helping to build and test scripts and integrations that move data between applications.

KEY DUTIES

• Help the team collect and organise customer data, learning how information is used across different business systems.
• Check data for missing or repeated information and help correct mistakes, with guidance from the team.
• Help create simple reports and charts to show patterns in data and explain what they mean.
• Support the team with customer data questions during Monday-to-Friday working hours, joining calls and meetings and keeping clear notes.
• Spend around 20% of your time learning to make and test simple software changes that help move data between systems, with support from experienced colleagues.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• A methodical approach to working with data, strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• A strong interest in data analysis, data quality and reporting, with a willingness to learn supporting software development and integration skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain data findings clearly to customers and colleagues.
• Self-motivated, curious and keen to develop practical data and problem-solving skills.
