Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive - #2174058

This is an opportunity to take ownership of varied Private Client matters while helping an established department develop its client relationships. Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing your own varied Private Client caseload, including complex and high-net-worth matters.
• Advising on Wills, Probate, Trusts, Estate and Tax Planning and services for elderly clients.
• Handling Court of Protection matters and supporting clients and their families with sensitive decisions.
• Administering estates from initial instruction through to completion, including contact with executors and beneficiaries.
• Meeting clients in person and remotely, providing clear advice and regular updates throughout their matters.
• Liaising with the Probate Registry, courts, HMRC, HM Land Registry, experts and other relevant organisations as required.
• Building lasting professional relationships, generating new instructions and supporting wider business development.
• Contributing to Private Client marketing initiatives, including relevant articles and blogs.

The successful Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive will combine technical expertise with approachable, confident client care and the ability to run a busy caseload independently. You should be able to demonstrate the following:

• At least 2 years’ PQE as a Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive.
• Strong experience of Wills, Probate, Trusts, Estate and Tax Planning, including work for high-net-worth clients.
• Good working knowledge and practical experience of Court of Protection matters.
• The ability to prioritise your own caseload, meet deadlines and maintain high standards of client service.
• Confident communication with clients, families, professional contacts and external organisations.
• A proactive approach to developing relationships and contributing to the team’s continued growth.
• Experience using case management systems and Laserforms.
• Property-related Private Client experience would be advantageous.
• A driving licence and access to a car would be desirable for client visits.
