About the CompanyA boutique financial planning practice based in Liverpool city centre, recognised for delivering tailored, holistic wealth advice rather than transactional solutions. Supported by an established team of financial planners, paraplanners, and dedicated administrators, the firm places strong emphasis on continuous technical development and high standards across pensions, investments, and tax planning.
Role SummaryIf you are an experienced paraplanner seeking an environment that prizes deep technical analysis over tick-box administration, this role offers an engaging blend of complex casework and professional progression. Supported by a dedicated administration team, you will benefit from hybrid flexibility, a new business bonus of up to £15,000, funded study leave, and genuine scope to transition into a client-facing adviser role within six to twelve months if desired.
Key Responsibilities- Construct bespoke advice frameworks and suitability reports across pensions, investments, tax, and protection, giving you full ownership of high-quality case delivery without administrative drag.
- Perform technical analysis and scenario testing using modern cashflow modelling and risk-profiling tools, sharpening your analytical expertise on varied, non-standard client files.
- Collaborate directly with experienced financial planners to test recommendations and strategies, giving you an active voice in shaping advice design.
- Project manage implementation cases through to sign-off alongside dedicated administrators, providing you with oversight of the advice lifecycle while maintaining a balanced workload.
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS or equivalent), with ambition to progress towards Chartered or CFP status.
- Proven paraplanning experience within an IFA or wealth management firm, handling technical research and suitability report writing.
- Sound technical knowledge of pensions, investments, and tax mitigation, alongside practical experience with cashflow modelling software.
- Strong analytical skills and confident communication, enabling you to challenge advice strategies constructively and articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
