Junior Customer Data Analyst

Liverpool | Hybrid, 2-3 days in the office per week | Up to £36,000 depending on experience

Zachary Daniels Recruitment is partnering with an established retailer to recruit a Junior Customer Data Analyst.

This is an opportunity to explore what drives customer behaviour across online and stores, using data to help shape decisions around loyalty, promotions and customer engagement.

You'll work with teams across CRM, Digital, Retail Operations and Customer Insight, investigating questions such as: Which customer groups are performing well? Are campaigns encouraging repeat purchases? What impact are promotions having on how customers shop?

Alongside building reports, you'll interpret the results, explain what they mean and recommend what the business could do next.

What you'll be doing

· Analysing customer and loyalty data to understand shopping behaviour, purchasing patterns and customer value.

· Building and maintaining Power BI dashboards to track customer segments and performance.

· Using SQL to extract, check and explore data.

· Supporting CRM teams with campaign targeting, measurement and reporting.

· Evaluating how promotional activity influences customer behaviour across online and stores.

· Turning findings into clear presentations and practical recommendations.

· Working with colleagues and data partners to improve data quality and reliability.

What we're looking for

This role would suit someone with 1-2 years' experience in a data analyst or similar analytical role, looking to develop their skills and take on broader commercial analysis.

You'll bring:

· Practical experience using SQL to extract and analyse data.

· Experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI or a similar visualisation tool.

· A curious, methodical approach to investigating data and checking your conclusions.

· The ability to explain your findings clearly and connect them to a business question.

· An interest in customer behaviour and how retail businesses make decisions.

· Attention to detail and an appreciation of why accurate, reliable data matters.

Experience in retail, ecommerce, customer analytics or CRM would be useful, but isn't essential. You don't need to have covered every responsibility already. We're looking for evidence that you can explore a question, make sense of the data and explain what you've learnt.
