As an Operation & Maintenance Buyer in our Offshore Procurement team, you will support our operational sites with the purchasing of their required spare parts, consumables and services.


An excellent development opportunity for someone that has had some procurement exposure and is keen to progress in this area.


Focus site for this individual would be Rhyl Flats Offshore Wind Farm, but also supporting our other offshore sites with spare parts purchasing.




Duties to include:



  • Hold regular meetings with site staff in order to meet contractual needs of the site/s and encourage early procurement involvement


  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships (internal and external) to positively impact the procurement cycle and procurement and operations collaboration


  • Prepare tender documents, issue tenders and carry out tender evaluations for all spare parts and service requirements


  • Prepare approval and confirmation award documentation to support contract award decisions and then place framework Agreements for spare parts and services.


  • Set up SAP contracts for preferred suppliers to allow for an automated stock process




  • Create and maintain source lists linking the relevant sites to the SAP contracts


  • Be the interface to the warehouse teams to amend PO creation if price/lead time necessitates a change from the preferred supplier


  • Vary agreements and update pricing in SAP contracts as and when required


  • Seek out additional spare parts suppliers to improve spare part options and set any new suppliers up in SAP


  • Where automation is not activated, create purchase orders for spare parts




  • Vendor invoice management - provide invoice query support for purchase orders.


  • Use RWE systems for supplier qualification, conducting tender processes and in day-to-day procurement activities





Skills and Experience



  • Experience in buying goods and/or services previously




  • Advanced skills in Material Management Systems, preferably SAP S4 HANA, and keen to learn and use new software applications


  • MCIPS member or studying to become a MCIPS accredited member would be advantageous


  • Experience and/or understanding of wind farms operations advantageous


  • Ability to effectively understand commercial risks to minimise impacts to the project


  • Experienced in building relationships




  • Self-motivation and drive to deliver on commitments


  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required to support delivery of the procurement activities





Location:


Preference would be Rhyl Flats, due to the need to support the service team there, but other offshore operational sites could be a base location for the successful candidate.
