As a Business Development Manager, you’ll play a critical role in driving new client acquisition and revenue growth. You’ll identify and engage with SMEs and Mid to Large Corporates that trade both domestically and overseas that can benefit from our funding solutions, build strong relationships with introducers and intermediaries, and work closely with internal teams to deliver a seamless onboarding experience. 


Key Responsibilities


·      Directly report into the Head of UK


·      Generate and close new business opportunities through direct outreach, networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships.


·      Build and manage relationships with key introducers, including brokers, advisors, and other intermediaries.


·      Understand prospective clients' funding challenges and structure tailored invoice finance solutions to meet their needs.


·      Own and manage the full sales cycle — from lead generation and pitch to deal close and collaborate with the credit, risk, and operations teams to ensure smooth transitions and excellent client experience.


·      Represent Accelerated Payments at industry events, webinars, and networking opportunities as and when they arise.


·      Stay up to date on market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes to keep our proposition sharp and relevant.


·      Consistently hit or exceed KPIs related to new client acquisition and revenue targets.


Requirements


**Essential:**


·      Proven track record in business development or sales within Invoice Finance, or wider commercial lending.


·      Strong network of brokers, intermediaries, debt advisors, and other referral partners.


·      Confident communicator with excellent presentation and negotiation skills.


·      Self-starter mindset — comfortable working autonomously and remotely while also as part of a team, whilst also maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business.


·      Results-driven, resilient, and motivated by targets and growth.


**Preferred:**


·      5+ years of experience within the Invoice Finance industry, both bank and non-bank institutions.


·      Experience within middle and back office Invoice Finance functions would be advantageous but not essential.


·      Established Intermediary network (such as commercial finance brokers, accountants, and debt advisory firms)
