THE ROLE | PURPOSE
- Reporting to our Intermodal Commercial Manager, the Senior Data Analyst within our Transport team plays a critical role in the successful delivery of an efficient and commercially successful Transport service offering to our customers
- Working closely with key stakeholders across the Transport team and wider CMA CGM business functions, you will be the primary contact for creation, analysis and delivery of a suite of Transport-related reporting, including cyclical and bespoke reporting.
- As Senior Data Analyst, you will also act as Subject Matter Expert within the Transport team on bespoke in-house systems, acting as a Key User and contributing to the development and ongoing support of colleagues on core systems and relevant processes.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING | KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creation, analysis and tracking of core KPI reports for the Transport function, e.g. Haulier Performance and activity, Departmental Performance and support with relevant Commercial reporting.
- Maintenance of in-house Inland Cost Recovery Tool, regularly reviewing and highlighting any key themes to relevant stakeholders.
- Support in delivery of training for Transport team colleagues, particularly with reference to in-house systems, processes and reporting requirements.
- Develop and track Cost-saving initiatives, sharing and following up with relevant stakeholders as required.
- Assist Commercial Manager with generation of quotes as required, and deputising in their absence where necessary).
- Act as Subject Matter Expert within the Transport team, supporting colleagues within the team and the wider business with queries and advice as required.
- Analyse issues that arise, carrying out root-cause investigations with high levels of accuracy and in a timely manner, reporting findings and solutions to relevant stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, e.g. clients and internal colleagues across other departments.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert and Key-User for bespoke inhouse systems.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU? | KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrable experience in a Data and Information Analysis-based role, with a proven ability to create, analyse and report on lots of differnet types of data.
- Experience within Road Transport, Logistics or Shipping industries would be advantaegous, but is not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, with demonstrable experience of building effective relationships and influencing others at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Strong analytical skills, with high attention to detail and advanced skills in MS Excel and MS Powerpoint.
- A resilient approach, able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Administration skills, with knowledge and experience of working with high volumes of data and information and bespoke IT Systems.
- A natural problem solver, with the ability to identify root-cause of issues and see through to a successful resolution.
- Flexibility in your approach, with a strong customer-focused approach and the ability to respond positively and proactively to differing client and stakeholder requirements.
- Six-Sigma qualification (desirable)
