Role Description

The Packaging Co-Ordinator is responsible for coordinating the availability of data required for all packaging items, across the UK (co-pack and manufactured) and B.V. Traded business, to support the Sustainability agenda (Princes Group and customers), monthly reporting and circular economy strategy for Princes Group.

Principal Responsibilities

• Liaising with the Packaging Development Managers on the implementation of new packaging formats to ensure all sustainability and regulatory requirements are captured.
• Use reports to ensure all new SAP codes have a spec assigned to them. Liaise with Packaging Development Managers and suppliers to close any gaps.
• Using reports, circulate and chase the specification reviews.
• Working with the Buying Assistant to maintain reports and data relating to packaging materials supplied to use for sustainability reporting.
• Creation of and maintenance of live packaging items database including physical samples.
• Co-ordination and collection of packaging data for traded goods
• Plastics Packaging Tax – maintain the system for collation of the data and submit quarterly reporting for audit and approval by manager.
• Creation and maintenance of the packaging reports that support the submission of legislative data (e.g., DRS, EPR, PRNs, CSRD, SBT, customer sustainability targets and business sustainability targets etc)
• Maintain the database for specified customers sustainability targets ensuring that appropriate stakeholders are regularly informed of current status.
• Maintain the tracking sheet of Princes project plans for sustainability benefits.
• Prepare data for manager to feed into the Monthly Board report for Princes Group sustainability targets.
• Document and review all processes for the management of sustainability data reporting.
• Vendor approval expiry reporting and supplier follow up.
  
  

Role Requirements

• A working knowledge of packaging, ideally gained within FMCG/food industry.
• Experience of working in teams
• Project management experience
• Experience of negotiating with both internal and external contacts and be capable of contributing within meetings.
• A Level qualification, ideally food, packaging, technology or business-related.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP
• Advanced Excel skills
