Infrastructure Architect - #1709656

ROLE PURPOSE

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Solutions Architect with current DV clearance to work in Gloucestershire.

The role is office based and collaborating with our client. The successful candidate will be responsible for focusing on helping develop the hosting platforms to effectively serve our customers with hosting platforms. Acting as a crucial link between our technology team and our customers, they will ensure the hosting platforms addresses the unique challenges. Their expertise will guide the platform's design, features, and functionalities related to hosting platform management, ensuring it delivers maximum value and meets industry standards.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with our product and engineering teams to define, design, and enhance platform features specifically tailored for IT infrastructure solutions.


• Gather and analyse customer requirements, feedback, and pain points to inform the development of platform capabilities that meet their needs.

• Attend client meetings alongside Sales and Account Management teams to provide consultative support, technical expertise, and strategic insight.


• Understand clients' strategic and operational needs for a modern and collaborative workspace.


• Guide managed and professional services teams in client project onboarding and infrastructure mobilisation.


• Participate in strategic planning meetings to propose effective technology roadmaps.


• Regularly reviewing and updating IT strategies, budgets & roadmaps to ensure they remain aligned with industry best practices and technological advancements.


• Maintain effective knowledge of vendor solutions to support sales and technical certifications.


• Strong technical understanding of architectural standards and support solution requirements.


• Capability to produce well-presented, holistic solutions.


• Capability to produce high- and low-level technical design documentation.


• Expert knowledge in public cloud infrastructure and virtualisations.


• Expert knowledge in producing and understanding infrastructure schematics and topologies.


• Experience in bid management and commercial understanding.


• Cyber Security knowledge across various platforms.


• Proficient in networking, storage, server technologies, and hardware.


• Understanding of IP Voice Technologies and solutions.


• Project Management and ITIL3 understanding.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management experience

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Essential

• AWS Solutions Architect Expert


• AWS Certified Sysops Administrator Expert


• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert


• Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator Expert


• Experience in Microsoft Azure & 365 migration and solution design.


• Expertise in Microsoft Modern Workplace technologies and migrations.

Desirable

• Cisco CCNA or CCNP Routing/Switching DNA or equivalent experience.


• Experience with wireless infrastructure technologies & design.


• Knowledge of Microsoft Server Applications, Active Directory, Exchange, and AVD.


• Virtualization (VMware) implementation and administration experience.


• Knowledge of mainstream Storage, Backup/Replication, and DR Technologies.

Experience

• Solution architecture: 5 years (preferred)


• ITIL: 1 year (preferred)


• Cybersecurity: 1 year (preferred)
