Data Engineer (Remote UK/EU, £60 k)
This start-up focusses on healthcare AI and are looking for a Data Engineer to join their team. You will be joining a team of 45 people, including Data Scientists, ML Engineers and 2 Data Engineers.
Day‑to‑day you will:
- Monitor, optimise and rebuild ETL / Delta Lake workflows in Databricks.
- Migrate legacy ingestion jobs to modern, cloud‑native patterns (Azure preferred, some AWS/GCP).
- Collaborate with scientists to understand study goals—e.g., young‑mental‑health surveys—and shape the data architecture behind them.
- Own slices of the backend and grow toward analytics, ML or architecture as you choose.
About you
- 2‑3 years’ experience (or outstanding grad projects) in data engineering
- Solid Python or R plus SQL; comfortable with Spark / Databricks.
- STEM degree (CS, Math, Physics or similar).
- Curious, collaborative
