Job Title: Deputy Store Manager at Lidl

£36,000 - £44,500 per annum | 30-35 days’ holiday (pro rata) | 10% in-store discount | Pension scheme

As a Deputy Store Manager, you’ll be calm, collected, and proactive both on the shop floor and behind the scenes. Your responsibilities include managing cash processes, monitoring stock integrity, inspiring colleagues, and stepping into the Store Manager’s role in their absence. You will take ownership of the store, lead by example, and support your team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set a positive example for the team and customers

  • Manage the store independently in the absence of the Store Manager

  • Lead and motivate the team to achieve their potential using our Leadership & Company Principles

  • Manage deliveries, oversee the till area, and monitor KPIs

  • Provide excellent customer service and assist with customer queries

  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety laws and standards


Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience leading and developing a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication skills to support colleagues and customers

  • Good time management, delegation, and problem-solving abilities

  • Confidence to support the team during every shift

  • Pride in delivering exceptional customer service

  • Ability to monitor, manage, and improve KPIs
