An established and expanding manufacturing business in Liverpool are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their growing team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and taking ownership of day-to-day financial processes.

You will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting cash flow management, and ensuring timely reporting to senior stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing

• Reconciling bank accounts on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy
• Producing financial reports on both a weekly and monthly basis for internal review
• Managing supplier payments, including preparing payment runs and monitoring outgoing cash
• Keeping accounting records up to date using Sage 50
• Overseeing sales ledger activities, ensuring outstanding balances are resolved efficiently
• Completing VAT submissions in line with deadlines
• Reviewing and reconciling company credit card and bank activity
• Processing purchase invoices and expenses accurately and in a timely manner
• Supporting cash flow management, ensuring suppliers are paid appropriately without impacting business liquidity
• Handling timesheet processing on a weekly cycle
• Working closely with colleagues across the business to resolve account queries and improve debtor performance
• Assisting with month-end processes and providing insight to senior leadership where required

What We're Looking for

• Solid background in a bookkeeping or accounts payable role
• Comfortable using accounting software such as Sage 50
• Ideally AAT qualified (or working towards / equivalent experience)
• Confident using Excel and financial systems
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong communicator, able to liaise with both internal teams and external contacts
• Well organised, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
