The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a growing independent accountancy and business advisory firm with a strong reputation across the North West.

The firm has built its name on being straight-talking, proactive and relationship-led — supporting SMEs, owner-managed businesses and growing companies with practical advice that goes beyond compliance.

With continued growth across their Audit & Accounts offering, they’re now looking to appoint an Audit & Accounts Manager to take ownership of a varied portfolio and help drive the next stage of growth.

The Role

This is a broad and visible position offering a mix of:
  • Audit management
  • Accounts and advisory work
  • Team leadership
  • Client relationship management
You’ll work closely with Directors and Partners while managing your own portfolio of clients across a range of sectors.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Managing audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Reviewing statutory accounts and financial statements
  • Managing and developing client relationships
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members
  • Working closely with business owners and SMEs on wider advisory matters
  • Ensuring work is delivered to deadlines and high technical standards
  • Supporting wider growth and development across the firm

What They’re Looking For
  • ACA / ACCA qualified
  • Strong audit and accounts experience within accountancy practice
  • Experience managing client relationships and leading assignments
  • Comfortable working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Someone who enjoys a collaborative, down-to-earth culture

Why This Firm
  • Independent, relationship-led practice with strong North West roots
  • Long-standing reputation built on proactive advice and client service
  • Broad service offering across audit, accounts, tax and advisory work
  • Flexible and practical working approach
  • Strong focus on long-term client relationships rather than volume-driven work

What’s on Offer
  • Competitive salary
  • Flexible / hybrid working
  • Genuine progression opportunities
  • Broad client exposure across multiple sectors
  • Collaborative and supportive team culture
  • Opportunity to work closely with senior leadership
