Description

  • Act as the primary HR interface between Directorates and the People function
  • Provide strategic HR guidance aligned to organisational objectives and workforce planning
  • Partner with senior leaders to implement effective HR policies and people strategies
  • Lead and support organisational change initiatives, including transformation, restructures, and TUPE
  • Oversee and deliver key HR and workforce projects aligned to organisational goals
  • Use workforce data and insights to inform decision-making and strategic planning
  • Lead on complex employee relations matters and ensure compliance with employment legislation
  • Champion inclusive practices and a positive organisational culture
  • Support talent management, succession planning, and performance management approaches
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to HR Business Partners and wider team members
  • Act as a trusted advisor on complex people issues within a public sector environmen

Profile

A successful HR Business Partner should have:

  • A strong background in human resources within local authority and educational sectors.
  • Proven experience in strategic HR planning and implementation.
  • Knowledge of employment law and best practices in HR management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A relevant HR qualification or equivalent experience.
