As an IT Technician reporting to the IT Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day technology operations across a group of schools within a growing and collaborative multi-academy trust. Working closely with staff, pupils and the wider IT team, you will provide first and second-line technical support, helping to ensure that IT systems, devices and infrastructure remain reliable, secure and effective in supporting teaching and learning, as well as supporting ongoing IT projects. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting Microsoft 365 applications, maintaining laptops, desktops and classroom technology, assisting with network and wireless connectivity, and contributing to IT projects across multiple sites. The successful candidate will enjoy building positive relationships, delivering excellent customer service and playing an active part in the trust's continued investment in technology and digital innovation. The trust currently has 1 secondary school, plus 2 primaries, but with more joining next academic year, this is an exciting opportunity to lead on the IT provision across different sites, working closely with the IT Manager. Please note this role will be based across all sites in Liverpool.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will ideally have experienced providing IT support in a school, trust or college setting. You will have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, troubleshooting of hardware and software and both a proactive approach and strong communication skills. As an IT Technician looking to take the next step in their career, you will have strong problem-solving skills, a willingness to learn and a collaborative approach to supporting users of all technical abilities. Please note, as this role will require travel to all 3, soon-to-be 4 sites, you must have your own vehicle and a valid UK licence.
