Rate: £40 per hour Ltd

Hours: 35 hours per week

Contract: Minimum 6 months

Working Arrangement: 3 days per week in Office, unless on duty week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CP Chair on an initial 6-month minimum contract, offering an excellent rate of £40 per hour Ltd.

As a CP Chair, you will be responsible for chairing Child Protection Conferences and ensuring that children and young people remain at the centre of safeguarding activity. You will work collaboratively with social workers, families, partner agencies and other professionals to ensure that safeguarding plans are robust, effective and focused on improving outcomes for children.

• Chair Child Protection Conferences in accordance with safeguarding procedures and statutory requirements.
• Ensure the child's voice and lived experience are central to decision-making.
• Analyse information from professionals and family members to identify risk and protective factors.
• Ensure clear, appropriate and outcome-focused safeguarding plans are developed.
• Monitor the effectiveness of child protection plans and challenge drift or delay.
• Work closely with social care, health, education, police and other partner agencies.
• Maintain accurate records and provide clear professional recommendations.
• Challenge professional practice where necessary to ensure children are safeguarded effectively.

You will be an experienced safeguarding professional with substantial knowledge of child protection procedures and multi-agency working. You will have excellent chairing, communication, analytical and decision-making skills, together with the confidence to constructively challenge professionals and families where required.
