Neighbourhood Team Leader - Location: Liverpool (South Liverpool Patch)

Hays are recruiting on behalf of a leading housing organisation for an experienced Neighbourhood Team Leader to join their Housing Management team covering a South Liverpool patch. This is an excellent opportunity for a housing professional with leadership experience to make an immediate impact within a busy and customer-focused environment.
Your New Role
Contract: Initial 3-Month Temporary Assignment via Hays with potential for extension or permanent opportunitiesHours: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Hybrid working with a mandatory office-based day each week (Liverpool city centre)
As Neighbourhood Team Leader, you will oversee a team of housing professionals providing leadership, support and operational direction across a diverse housing portfolio.
You will be responsible for ensuring high standards of tenancy management, neighbourhood management and customer service delivery while driving team performance and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing a team of Neighbourhood Officers, Tenancy Officers and administrative staff
- Supporting the delivery of tenancy management services across the South Liverpool area
- Providing expert guidance on housing management, policy, legislation and best practice
- Managing team performance through KPI monitoring, coaching and development
- Supporting complex tenancy, anti-social behaviour and safeguarding cases
- Working collaboratively with internal departments and external partners to improve outcomes for customers
- Attending partnership meetings, community meetings and stakeholder forums
- Ensuring compliance with housing legislation, safeguarding requirements and organisational policies
- Driving service improvements and promoting a culture of high performance and accountability
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Previous experience within housing management
- Experience managing or supervising housing teams
- Strong knowledge of housing legislation, policies and procedures
- Experience handling complex tenancy and anti-social behaviour cases
- Excellent stakeholder management and partnership-working skills
- Strong communication, coaching and leadership abilities
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Relevant professional qualification, management qualification, degree or equivalent experience
- A proactive and customer-focused approach to service delivery
