Project Accountant - #2139570

Robertson Bell is recruiting a Project Accountant on a permanent basis. The Project Accountant will take ownership of aspect of finance relating to a significant multi-million pound capital project.

The Role

• Preparing management information, reconciliations and financial analysis to support decision making across large scale capital projects.

• Monitoring budgets, expenditure and funding across multiple projects, identifying key movements and variances.

• Ensuring expenditure is accurately coded, allocated and reported, maintaining strong financial controls.

• Investigating variances and discrepancies, providing clear insight into financial performance.

• Working closely with internal teams and external consultants on financial matters.

• Using Excel and financial systems to analyse and manipulate financial information.

• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, controls and wider finance processes.

The Person

• A recognised accounting qualification, either fully qualified or actively working towards qualification.

• Previous project or management accounting experience, with a good understanding of budgets, reconciliations and financial reporting.

• Good Excel and data analysis skills, with confidence working with financial information.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.

• A proactive approach, with the confidence to ask questions, improve processes and take ownership.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
