About Us

PD:FC by Pro:Direct is creating a premium destination for football performance and football-inspired fashion in Liverpool. Our flagship store is built for players and fans who live and breathe the game, bringing together world-class product, elevated service, and a deep connection to football culture.

We're looking for a Retail Supervisor who combines strong retail experience with a genuine passion for football. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who understands the football customer, from boots and performance product to club culture, kit launches and football-inspired style, and wants to help deliver an outstanding store experience in a premium retail environment.

The Role

As a Retail Supervisor, you’ll be a key presence on the shop floor, leading by example to deliver excellent customer service, strong sales performance, and high presentation standards.

Working closely with the Assistant Manager and Store Manager, you’ll support the day-to-day running of the store and act as a role model for Sales Assistants. While this is not a direct line management role, you’ll play an important part in setting standards, supporting the wider team, and helping bring Pro:Direct’s football culture to life for every customer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example on the shop floor, delivering excellent customer service and confident product advice.
  • Support the Assistant Manager and Store Manager with the day-to-day running of the store.
  • Act as a role model for Sales Assistants by demonstrating high standards in service, selling and store presentation.
  • Drive sales through active customer engagement, strong product knowledge and a premium service approach.
  • Use KPIs and trading patterns to help prioritise activity and maximise store performance.
  • Maintain high standards across visual merchandising, stock availability and overall shop-floor presentation.
  • Help create a store environment that feels exciting, premium and relevant to football players and fans.
  • Support new team members through day-to-day guidance and by sharing best practice on the shop floor.
  • Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, helping turn challenges into positive outcomes.
  • Follow all operational procedures, including cash handling, loss prevention, health & safety and compliance.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a customer-facing retail role, ideally in sport, fashion or lifestyle retail.
  • Confidence acting as a senior presence on the shop floor, with the ability to lead by example and support others informally.
  • Strong customer service skills and confidence in building rapport with a wide range of customers.
  • Good commercial awareness, including an understanding of sales targets, KPIs and conversion.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail across stock, standards and visual presentation.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine passion for football and a strong awareness of football culture, product and trends in the UK and globally.
  • Someone who can connect authentically with football customers and bring energy, credibility and enthusiasm to the store.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a flagship football retail concept
  • Work for a brand at the intersection of sport, performance and style
  • 28 days’ annual leave pro rata
  • 3% employer pension contribution
  • Staff discount of up to 30% at Pro:Direct Sport Online and 40% at Do Clothing
  • Gym discounts through Hussle and Nuffield Health
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) through AXA Health for staff and family members
  • Refer a Friend bonus scheme
  • Enhanced Sick Pay Scheme for staff with over 5 years’ service

What We Look for in Our Team

We’re passionate about what we do and proud of the culture we’re building. We’re looking for people who:

  • bring energy, authenticity and a team-first attitude
  • care deeply about customer experience
  • love football and the culture around it
  • want to develop, contribute and grow with the business
