The Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing construction team based in the Isle of Man.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded QS looking for a new challenge, with a competitive salary of circa £65,000 plus a relocation package available for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of construction projects, working closely with project teams, clients, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered successfully and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial performance of construction projects from tender through to final account.
• Prepare valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts and profitability.
• Manage variations, valuations and commercial negotiations.
• Review contracts, specifications and project documentation.
• Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare and analyse subcontractor packages.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Maintain accurate cost and commercial records.
• Work closely with Project Managers and site teams.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Assist with tendering, pricing and procurement.
• Ensure contractual and commercial deadlines are met.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction.
• Strong commercial experience is essential.
• Good understanding of valuations, variations, procurement and final accounts.
• Strong cost control and financial management skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and commercial priorities.
• Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to relocate to the Isle of Man.
