Date: 2 hours ago
City: Liverpool
Contract type: Full time
Work schedule: Full day
Liverpool Chiropractic Clinic

Liverpool Chiropractic Clinic is looking for an experienced Operations & People Manager to join our leadership team and take ownership of the day-to-day running of our busy, established clinic.

We have a brilliant team, a strong patient base and an ambitious business that continues to grow.

With our Practice Manager preparing to take maternity leave, we're looking for someone who can come into the business, learn how we operate and become the person who keeps the clinic organised, the team supported and the day-to-day operation running smoothly.

This is a varied management role combining people leadership, operations, team development and hands-on clinic management.

What You'll Be Doing

A major part of the role is managing and supporting our team.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Managing the day-to-day clinic team
  • Conducting regular 1-to-1 meetings
  • Supporting team development and performance
  • Setting clear expectations and following up agreed actions
  • Helping team members achieve their KPIs
  • Coaching and training staff
  • Running role-play and communication training
  • Supporting practitioners with agreed patient communication and sales processes
  • Managing performance issues professionally when required
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and probation reviews
  • Managing formal HR processes when necessary

You'll also oversee the operational side of the clinic, including:

  • Staff rotas
  • Holidays and absence
  • Organising cover
  • Front-of-house standards
  • Payroll administration
  • Memberships and direct debits
  • Clinic statistics and KPI reporting
  • Complaints and patient queries
  • Recurring administrative tasks
  • Making sure agreed systems and processes are followed

Although this is a management role, we're a hands-on team.

You'll need to be happy stepping onto reception when required, particularly during holidays, sickness or busy periods.

The Person We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who naturally takes ownership.

You should be:

  • Proactive
  • Highly organised
  • Reliable and consistent
  • Confident managing people
  • Comfortable making decisions
  • Comfortable giving constructive feedback
  • Approachable but able to maintain high standards
  • Detail-orientated
  • Good at following things through
  • Calm under pressure
  • Comfortable working with numbers and KPIs
  • Able to work independently without being micromanaged

  • We're particularly interested in someone who enjoys the people-management side of leadership.

You'll need to be comfortable supporting people, developing them and recognising good performance - but also having clear and professional conversations when standards aren't being met.

    Experience

Previous healthcare experience would be useful, but it isn't essential.

We're much more interested in finding someone with strong management experience.

You may currently be working as a:

    • Practice Manager
    • Assistant Practice Manager
    • Operations Manager
    • Office Manager
    • Dental Practice Manager
    • Clinic Manager
    • Customer Experience Manager
    • Hospitality Manager
    • Retail Manager
    • Fitness or Leisure Manager

Experience managing a team, conducting 1-to-1s, managing rotas, dealing with customer issues and working within a busy service-based business would be particularly valuable.

    Why Liverpool Chiropractic Clinic?

We're a busy and ambitious private healthcare clinic with a fantastic team and a strong reputation in Liverpool.

You'll be joining an established business rather than being expected to come in and rebuild one.

You'll work closely with the Clinic Owner and Practice Manager during your onboarding period, giving you time to understand the team, systems and culture before taking increasing responsibility for the day-to-day operation.

The role offers genuine autonomy and the opportunity to become an important part of the clinic's leadership team.

    What Success Looks Like

Over time, we'd expect you to become the person who:

    • Knows what's happening across the clinic
    • Keeps the team organised
    • Makes sure important tasks happen consistently
    • Supports and develops team members
    • Maintains high standards
    • Resolves everyday operational issues
    • Keeps communication flowing
    • Allows the Clinic Owner to remain focused on the bigger picture

If you're an experienced manager who enjoys people, organisation and making a busy business run smoothly, we'd love to hear from you.
