Graduate Structural Engineer

Location: Liverpool or Manchester

Salary: £30,000–£35,000

The Opportunity

Emtech Recruitment is working with an established, growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in the North West that is looking to recruit a Graduate Structural Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced team, work on a varied range of projects and develop your technical skills with support towards chartership.

Key Responsibilities

• Structural design and analysis of steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures.
• Supporting projects from design through to delivery.
• Using software such as Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS and Quikport.
• Preparing structural calculations, drawings and technical reports.
• Undertaking structural surveys, appraisals and inspections.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and clients.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM).
• Some previous UK-based structural engineering consultancy design experience.
• Knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards and relevant design software.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
• A full UK driving licence and CSCS card would be advantageous.
