IT Business Analyst - Data-Focused, Permanent, Hybrid, Liverpool.

My client, a global organisation, is looking to expand their team of IT Business Analysts.

For this role, the hiring manager is looking for someone with at least 2 years' experience in a Business Analyst (BA) role and strong data modelling knowledge. Experience with Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD) is needed to fulfil this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and validate data models, defining data structures, relationships and business rules to support business requirements and change.
• Analyse existing data and processes, identifying gaps and recommending improvements to data quality, consistency and use.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops to capture business, data, functional and non-functional requirements.
• Translate requirements into clear documentation, user stories and acceptance criteria, securing stakeholder sign-off.
• Assess proposed solutions against business and data requirements, highlighting risks, dependencies and opportunities.
• Support business cases, feasibility studies and backlog prioritisation.
• Develop UAT scripts and coordinate testing to confirm solutions meet agreed requirements and business outcomes.
• Communicate recommendations clearly and support teams through implementation.

Required Work Experience (Brief description of the job-related experience needed to perform the job)

● 2+ years in a business analysis role or carrying out business analysis-related activities.

● Experience using modelling languages such as UML and BPMN.

● Experience dealing with senior stakeholders.

Occasional global travel may be required for the candidate who secures this role.
