Temporary Bookkeeper

Location: Liverpool (Office Based)
Salary: £14.00 - £16.50 per hour
Job Type: Temporary (Approx. 3 Months)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 4:30pm
Start Date: Immediate

The Opportunity

Reed Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper on behalf of a well-established Liverpool-based business.

This is a temporary assignment expected to last approximately 3 months, with an immediate start available. The successful candidate will join a busy finance team to assist with clearing a backlog of work and supporting day-to-day bookkeeping activities.

This position is fully office based and would suit a hands-on finance professional who has strong Sage experience and can hit the ground running with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing sales and purchase invoices
• Completing supplier statement reconciliations
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Carrying out credit card reconciliations
• Posting payroll journals
• Assisting with clearing a backlog of finance work
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc bookkeeping duties
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring transactions are processed correctly

Person Specification

To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:

• Previous bookkeeping or finance experience
• Strong working knowledge of Sage (essential)
• Experience processing sales and purchase ledger transactions
• Experience carrying out bank, supplier and credit card reconciliations
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Availability to start immediately
