The Opportunity

We're recruiting for an experienced Commercial Swimming Pool Service Engineer to join an established and growing business specialising in commercial swimming pool filtration, plant maintenance and water treatment systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working independently, has strong technical knowledge of commercial swimming pool systems and is looking for a long-term position with plenty of autonomy.

You'll be working with a varied customer base, including luxury hotels, leisure centres, health clubs, resorts and commercial swimming pool facilities throughout the UK.

Ideally, you'll be based in the North West of England or North Wales, with the flexibility to travel to customer sites as required.

The Role

As a Commercial Swimming Pool Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial swimming pool plant and filtration equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on commercial swimming pool systems.
• Servicing and repairing pumps, filters, chemical dosing systems and associated plant equipment.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and carrying out repairs.
• Inspecting plant rooms and identifying potential maintenance or performance issues.
• Installing and commissioning new equipment and technology to improve system efficiency.
• Providing technical support and advice to customers.
• Managing your own workload and attending customer sites independently.
• Maintaining high standards of customer service, safety and professionalism.

About You

We're looking for a practical, technically capable engineer with previous experience servicing commercial swimming pool equipment.

Ideally, you'll have:

• At least 12 months' experience servicing and maintaining commercial swimming pool filtration systems.
• Good mechanical and/or electrical engineering knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with swimming pool plant rooms, pumps, filtration and chemical dosing equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Flexibility to travel throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays.

Experience working with commercial leisure facilities, hotels, health clubs or specialist swimming pool maintenance companies would be particularly advantageous.

Relevant qualifications in swimming pool plant operation, water treatment or mechanical/electrical engineering would also be beneficial.
