A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Customs Clearance Clerk to join our client's expanding team. Our client operates in European Trailer Services, Bulk Chemical Tanker Service, Freight Forwarding Worldwide, Warehousing, Ocean Freight Service, and World Air Freight Service.

Reporting to the Customs Clearance Manager, your duties will include:

1. Preparation of Customs reports for customers.


2. Preparation of Customs Declarations using Trader Support Service (TSS).


3. Preparation of Export and Import Documentation on CDS for EU shipments.


4. Completion of Supplementary Declarations using Trader Support Service (TSS).


5. Liaising with HMRC regarding Import/Export issues.


6. Maintaining and updating internal systems to support the movement of goods.


7. Ensuring accurate and timely lodgement of Customs documentation.


8. Liaising with third-party agents to obtain Customs Clearances.

1. Minimum 12 months experience in customs procedures for both Import and Export.


2. Ability to work towards and meet deadlines.


3. Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.


4. Strong team player qualities.


5. Ability to plan ahead and a proactive attitude.


6. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
