Business Development Associate - #2167939
Lumen Partners
Business Development Associate – Management Development Programme
Lumen | Liverpool City Centre | Full-time | £25,000–£40,000 OTE
About Lumen
Lumen is an offline marketing and sales company representing established, high-value clients. Our clients come to us because they need growth they can rely on, and that demand is now outpacing our team. To keep up, we’re investing in people who can learn our systems, master them, and go on to lead teams and client contracts of their own.
We don’t promote on time served or on your CV. We promote on clear, published criteria. If you meet them, you move up.
The role
You’ll start by learning our sales systems from the ground up, working directly with customers on behalf of our clients. As you build confidence and results, your role broadens into coaching, training and supporting the people who join after you.
What you’ll be doing
Learning and applying our proven sales and customer engagement systems
Representing our clients professionally in person, out in the field
Progressing into training and coaching new associates, both in the field and in the office
Tracking and managing KPIs for yourself and, over time, your team
Supporting the onboarding of new associates so they get off to a strong start
Helping us scale client campaigns as new contracts come in
How progression works
Our Management Development Programme is structured around milestones, not tenure. Each step has clear targets, covering sales performance, training responsibility, product and leadership knowledge, and sign-off from a manager. You’ll always know exactly where you stand and what the next step requires.
The pathway runs from mastering the core role, to training others, to learning recruitment, to leading a team of your own. The long-term goal is to manage client contracts. How quickly you progress depends entirely on you.
What we’re looking for
No previous sales or management experience is required. We’re looking for people who are:
Competitive and motivated by clear goals
Coachable and keen to learn a system properly before improving on it
Comfortable talking to people in person
Reliable, professional and good at bringing others along with them
Interested in leadership as a long-term career rather than a short-term job
What you’ll get
£25,000–£40,000 OTE, with earnings linked to performance
Full, structured training from day one, plus ongoing coaching from senior leaders
A transparent, criteria-based route into management
A city-centre base in Liverpool
A team culture that rewards effort, development and results
