Financial Close Transformation Lead | Liverpool | 12-month FTC

Do you enjoy fixing a month-end close and leading the team that runs it?

I’m working with a global manufacturing organisation to find a Financial Close Transformation Lead for their Accounting Services team in Liverpool.

You’ll lead a team of 8 assistant accountants through a transformation of the SAP month-end close. You’ll make it simpler, standardise it and automate it, while strengthening controls along the way.

What you’ll do:

Own the close transformation roadmap from concept to delivery

Drive global standardisation and automation of close processes in SAP

Partner with Financial Controllers, Technology and global Finance (FP&A, Tax, Treasury)

Set up governance and track benefits and KPIs to show real, measurable value

Lead, coach and develop a team of 8, and coordinate internal and external audit

What you’ll bring:

7+ years in multinational finance, shared services or transformation

3–5 years leading teams or cross-functional workstreams

A track record of delivering finance process change, CI or automation

Strong SAP experience and an understanding of controls and data flow

ACA/ACCA/CIMA desirable; pharma or shared services experience a big plus
